Minted Walls

I don’t have walls.

Wait, what?

Ok, well, yes, I do have walls, I live in walls, of course.

But they’re not my walls.

I’ve talked before about how we sold our home that we lived in for 10 years in the hopes for new horizons and how living in a rental house is tough because although there’s no rule against hanging art on the walls, I prefer not to. I guess I feel that by putting up art or family pictures, it means permanency and this isn’t permanent. This isn’t home. And besides that, who wants to have to patch, sand and paint every single nail hole before they move out? Not me, that’s for sure. And believe me, we have a LOT of stuff to hang!

We’re getting closer to having walls again. I know this because I’ve been looking for more stuff to hang on those walls to come. I’ve been lusting over frames, prints, photos, paintings. I’ve been looking for art. I’ve been fantasizing about what I’m going to hang on my new walls because well, it’s fun and I’m excellent at shopping!

I found this awesome custom art piece on Minted.com and have decided this is going to be my first project. To christen each of of the 4 girls bedrooms, they’ll get their initial with their smiling faces framed to match their room. How sweet is this? In the kitchen, the room I end up spending most of my time in and the room most parties end up happening in, I’ll have this because it’s true.

 

 

In what ever place we designate as our family hangout spot/movie night spot/games night spot/all around fun place, I found this fun (limited edition) piece. The kids will discuss for hours what they think this pixelated image is. PS, score bonus points if your kid loves Minecraft!

 

 

And of course, in my bedroom sanctuary, the place I go to escape, retreat, revive, relax, reflect and in most cases, pass out, I look for pieces that calm and warm and inspire. Although Brigette (10) really wanted this for her room because girls and horses, I picked this (limited edition print) for my room. My Minted walls will be beautiful. Finally, I’m in love with these creative and fun birth announcement custom art pieces. Hold on, slow your roll, NO, I’m not having any more babies for which I would need to announce but I know some of y’all ARE having babies! You need these!
