Christmas Movie Marathon
I love Christmas movies. I watch all the same ones every year. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Frosty the Snowman. How the Grinch Stole Christmas! It’s like reliving my childhood all over again and the best part is experiencing these classics with my children as my mother did with me and my brother when we were growing up.
I thought I’d seen all the iconic flicks of the season but apparently I was wrong. I realized and then confessed to my Aunt that I have never seen White Christmas (1954). I can still hear the gasp thru the phone. It’s not that bad, I told her, at least I know most of the songs, right?
Nope, not good enough because I watch all the same movies, every year! Which means I’ve missed a lot of good ones I’m guessing.
So I’ve decided that I need to watch all the old classic Christmas movies, but which ones? Not every movie can be a “classic”, can it?
So I’m turning to you guys to help me out.
Leave me a comment and tell me which movie is a beloved classic in your eyes and why I should watch it for my Christmas Movie Marathon. If I haven’t seen it, I’ll watch it.
Here’s the first 2 just to get you started:
1: White Christmas (1954) Crosby and Clooney, how have I never watched this?
2: Elf (2003) This movie seems to be everywhere this year and I’ve only seen bits and pieces of it. People think it’s hilarious, we’ll see.
3: ???

Sound of Music is my favorite movie this time of year. There’s a remake of it on tv this Thursday staring Carrie Underwood 🙂
I got your back on this one! We let our Christmas movie freak flag fly HIGH in this house! But I have to admit that I’ve never seen White Christmas as well… But it’s on list to do list to watch 🙂 We’re huge fans of Christmas Vacation, Marry Christmas Mr. Bean, Home Alone 1 & 2, Love Actually, The Family Stone, A Christmas Story, Marry Christmas Charlie Brown… I’m sure I’m forgetting a few but I hope that’s a start 🙂

I know it’s not really an oldie at only 10 years old but Love Actually is a great Christmas movie.
