Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9×9 pan and set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in sugar and egg and vanilla. Mix until combined and set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Melt butter in a bowl and stir in cocoa. Then add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.
Pour half the batter into 9×9 pan.
Spread cream cheese filling on top of batter.
Spoon remaining brownie batter on top of cream cheese filling and swirl with knife.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Cool completely and cut into squares. Store in a container for up to a week. As if they’ll last that long.
