Chewy Molasses Cookies
I’m a total sucker for chewy cookies but when you add ginger and cinnamon and cloves? Forget it. I’m all in. I hope you enjoy this easy recipe for Chewy Molasses Cookies. They’re one of my faves.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- additional sugar for rolling cookie dough

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine oil, sugar and molasses.
Add egg and mix well. -
Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or until easy to handle.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls, roll in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 7-9 minutes or until tops are cracked and edges are set.
When done, move to wire cooling racks.
