Remember The 90’s? Newstalgia with Netflix
Wait, there’s no way the 90’s was that long ago! Didn’t I just graduate high school? Oh that’s right, it was 20 years ago!
TWENTY!
Ok, think back to the 90’s and how awesome things where. The music, the fashion, the lack of cell phone technology to document the proof of said fashions. It was when I was finishing high school, then working as a hostess, then a waitress, then in a nightclub. I think the best thing about the 90’s was my endless energy and my ability to work until 3am and get up the next day before noon! Now a days it takes me 2 days to recover from a night out till midnight.
In honour of my 20 year high school graduation and upcoming reunion, here is a list of 20 things that will bring you back to the 90’s.
Fashion
1) Overalls – denim and if you were super cool, you’d wear them with one strap hanging down.
2) Plaid – but never worn as an actual shirt but more as an apron for your butt.
3) Crop Tops – le sigh, pre kids and only with baggy jeans warn to the navel.
4) Baggy Jeans – forget about that saggy, droopy butt thing the kids are doing today, our jeans were baggy but we always wore a belt to keep them way up!
5) Doc Martins – my one regret in life is that I never kept my black Docs with the rainbow stitching. I loved those boots.
6) Knee High Socks – Paired with a short skirt, thanks Britney Spears.
Slang
7) Giddy-up – coined by Kramer, killed by men everywhere.
8) Crib – I’m having a party Saturday night at my crib but not like on MTV Cribs more like HGTV Cribs.
9) Bunk – I’m sorry you lost your job dude, that’s bunk.
10) All that and a bag of chips – what every guy I had a crush on thought he was.
11) Bounce – a method by which to leave a location you are presently at. This party is bunk, lets bounce.
