Rock The House Run
Today is a big day for the Dirty Girl! I was asked to be a part of a team! Really people, I don’t know if you understand how big of a deal this is. I haven’t been asked to be a part of a team since the 1989-90 cheerleading season at AA Leach Junior High. And I’m pretty sure that this team won’t ask me to wear a short skirt and “bloomers”.

I am going to be a part of the STWEET team during the annual Rock The House Run to benefit Ronald McDonald House of Southern Alberta. 100% of the funds raised go directly to support the $2.9 million it costs to run the house annually. Located next to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, this 32,000 sq ft house serves approximately 400 families every year. It allows families with hospitalized children, who live outside a 45km radius of the hospital, to stay close by and maintain a united family to support each other during a difficult time.
As part of the STWEET Team I will be stationed along the run route live tweeting the days events. I will talk to walkers and runners, families and friends and tweet pictures and stories as the day goes on.
