What To Watch On Netflix In 2018
I am a total fangirl when it comes to Netflix. No lie there. I look forward to new titles and finding hidden gems. There are a lot of new things coming out in 2018. I’ve got my list of What to Watch on Netflix in 2018 for the whole family.
Something for the kids. My (almost) 10 year old twins are so excited that one of their favourite movies is now a series on Netflix. Trolls: The Beat Goes On is filled with fun and music in the Troll village. Streaming now!
Something for the whole family. A little more on the edgy side of things is Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events season 2. We read the book series to the kids ages ago and while the movie version (Jim Carrey) was a box office disappointment, the re-cast series on Netflix (Neil Patrick Harris) is spot on to the books and appropriately inappropriate in all the right ways. Season 2 streams March 30, 2018.
Something for the weekend. That’s right people, Queer Eye is back! While the first series (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy) was about tolerance, the 2018 version is about acceptance. 5 new fab hosts take on a renovation project that spans personal style, living space, diet and most of all attitude. Yas queen! Season 1 streams February 7, 2018.
Something for the late night crowd. Well, late night TV that you can watch any time of the day. David Letterman, veteran for the late night talk show crowd, is back with a new show. I watched the first episode with President Barrack Obama and loved it. I really can’t wait to see what else Dave has for My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. Episode 1 streaming now.
Something for the Black Mirror bingers. Sci-Fi, adventure, murder mystery all around messed up stuff. You’ll get it all with Altered Carbon. Feels a little bit like a mash up of Minority Report meets the Matrix. Season 1 streaming February 2, 2018.
Something for the crime fighters. Seven Seconds is a Netflix original series about a young black teen murdered in Jersey City and the police cover-up that follows. I love Regina King, the series main character. Putting this one on my list right now. Season 1 streams February 23, 2018.
Something for the people who like gore. And Drew Barrymore! I’m more of a fan of the latter but I’ll take the former as well. Santa Clarita Diet was a show I didn’t expect to enjoy. Mom turned living zombie who has to eat human flesh to survive? Not really my thing. I was so wrong. I laughed at every episode and love the cast. I can’t wait for the new season. Season 2 streams sometime in 2018.
Ah, so happy to see that Santa Clarita Diet comes back for a second season this year! Hopefully sooner rather than later.
