What To Wear To Blissdom
So, I need to pack my bag for Toronto. I keep thinking about it. I brought my suitcase in from the garage days ago. All I’ve been thinking about for weeks has been, what to wear to Blissdom.
I love clothes. I love putting together new outfits. I love buying clothes. I love finding second hand clothes. When an event comes up on my calendar I immediately start thinking about what I should wear to that event. It could be a hike in the woods (boots, plaid, backpack) brunch with friends (gladiator sandals, silk skirt, pink tank, mini denim jacket), anniversary dinner (little black dress, sexy heels, diamond earrings!), shopping (layered tank top under a holed t-shirt and crop rolled jeans) or going to a HUGE blogging conference in Toronto. Do you see where this is going? Yes, you’re right, it’s going straight to my closet.
This is my first time at Blissdom so I’m not entirely sure what to expect as far as clothes go. I have read everything I can find on the events during the conference and what other bloggers have packed in the past. Now it’s time to pick and plan.
If there’s one thing I absolutely hate about packing and traveling it’s OVER packing. I take pride in picking the right outfit for the right situation so if I end a trip with clothes I dragged all the way to my destination and didn’t wear, I get extremely annoyed. I’ve even had a fleeting idea to FedEx my unused attire home because I don’t need or want it with me. But I wouldn’t actually do that, ha-ha, no that would be crazy.
Any-who
Where was I? Oh right, we are in my closet.
Thursday – The Social live TV taping (oh set your PVR, I’m gonna be on TV y’all) & Blissdom Newcomer Meet-up
The email from the audience coordinator said, “Attending The Social is like having a celebratory lunch with your best girlfriends! You will be on TV, so be sure to look stylish. BRIGHT COLOURS look best on camera. AVOID wearing all-white or all-beige clothing. Footwear must be TV appropriate.”
So I’m thinking I’d wear this, which will work for the TV taping AND the Meet-Up.
Friday – The first full day of Blissdom sessions topped off by the Great Canadian Outdoor Party
This “outdoor” party in the evening has been the subject of much debate on Facebook with many attendees wondering what to wear. The details on the website say, “What would you wear if you were glamour camping? This could be anything from Jeans and a Fancy top to full on “Girls Night Out” attire.” However a lot of gals are renting dresses from Rent Frock Repeat so it’s safe to say, anything goes.
This is my daytime outfit.
These are my options for the “Girls Night Out Glamping” outfit.
Saturday – Second full day of sessions and a grand finale Pajama Party (my feet thank you!)
I am sure that after 2 full days of sessions and a glam and high heels the night before I’m gonna be looking for comfort and ease today. Finished off by a pajama party! I am going to kiss the person who came up with this idea, brilliant.
This is my daytime outfit.
This is my pajama party outfit but it’s just a sneak preview…If you want to see more, check out HOUSE OF HYYGE.
Now all I need are the shoes, the purses, the accessories and all my toiletries…Oh I can’t forget the chargers for my phone and iPad, business cards, a jacket, a sweater, notebooks, pens, makeup, flat iron, hair brush, oh my, I’m gonna need a bigger bag!
Have you packed? What are you wearing to the “glam” party?
Great choices! I’m still stressing over what to pack… oh well. I’m sure I’ll show up with something on 🙂 See you soon!

Very stylish. Picking individual outfits is the beat! Way way less clothes. Love it.
Vote goes to the black glamping dress. Same style as the My DIRT icon. Brilliant.
Since you’re the only one who voted, you won! I wore the black dress.
If I’m flying I refuse to take more than carry on luggage so my wardrobe is either highly coordinated or terribly lacking! LOL
Have fun at Blissdom!
